Artown turns Reno into a summer hot spot for arts and culture during our month long festival and encourage you to come out and volunteer. We need volunteers starting in May and June to assist in preparing for the festival by distributing marketing materials such the Artown posters to locations throughout Reno. We also need volunteers throughout the month of July at various Artown events.
Most volunteer activities take place at Wingfield Park and Hawkins Amphitheater to perform a variety of tasks such as taking tickets, providing festival information, helping with seating, aiding performers and more. With more than 350,000 guests expected to attend this year’s event, volunteers are a crucial aspect to the nonprofit’s success.
Atown typically takes place in the evening and on weekends and presents various types of art which includes exceptional dancing, music and displays of artwork. Administrative volunteer opportunities are also available throughout the year.
If you’re interested in volunteering for the festival and being in the center of all the action, contact Bryan Wildman, Artown Festival Manager, by calling 775-322-1538 or emailing bryan@renoisartown.com.
