Recently Artown submitted an entry to the Microsoft Techsoup “Show your Impact” contest. They will be giving away a prize of $5,000 each to three different organizations. Apparently, the judges will only look at the most voted for submissions before judging. Anyone can vote, but you have to vote for three entries. Artown’s is called “Artown Community Waves” dated 5/13/09 and there are attachments with the submission to review. Let’s get voting and forward to others if you can.
Here are the contest details:
There are only 2 days left to check out the submissions to the Microsoft Show Your Impact Story Contest and vote! You have until midnight on June 5th to vote for your favorite projects.
Get involved. We want the world to take notice of the amazing work that nonprofits and libraries are doing. In other words, come and vote for your favorite projects and tap your networks to do the same.
The Community Vote:
Voting is open until June 5, 2009 and will determine the finalists in each of the three contest categories. Invite your community and your networks to come out and show support for your project and others by casting their votes. This is the single most critical time in the contest.
Voting is NOT limited to organizations who have received a Microsoft product donation through TechSoup. Anyone can vote! The top projects, chosen by the Community Vote, will be reviewed by the Microsoft/TechSoup panel and one winner will be selected in each category.
